The coal concession is owned by Pendopo Energi Batubara through 3rd Generation Coal Contract of Work (CCoW) with the Government of Indonesia. In May 2009, Pendopo Energy Batubara obtained a 30-year operating license, which can ensure feedstock supply to the projects with an option to extend an additional of 20 years. The coal concession covers an area of 17,840 hectares and is located 140 km southwest of Palembang through provincial road and Musi River. The exact location is at Kecamatan Talang Ubi, Penukal, Tanah Abang, and Rambang Dangku, Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatera Province. Existing infrastructures such as provincial road and port are located near the coal concession. Feasibility study and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) has been approved by authoritative bodies.
