Pendopo Energi Batubara has large coal resources and reserves with low stripping ratio. Based on JORC standards by Runge Limited, the coal reserves are 700 million tons with a stripping ratio of 1 : 1.6. The coal resources are estimated at around 2 billion tons based on the Interim Quantity Report prepared by Minarco-Mineconsult Pty Ltd. The Pendopo coal characteristics are as follows :

• CV contents 2,400 kcal/kg (GAR)
• High total moisture > 50%
• Low ash /sulphur  and nitrogen contents
